Leading Guard / Protector

First born of the Matriarch along with his sister Edlerin. He is a bit jealous of all the attention her sister gets from their mother, and therefore in his young days, he tried to impress her leading mother with his strengh and gathering abilities. It may have worked, since he was granted the title of the Leading Guard, commander of the clan's forces and protector of the lair.
He no longer seeks for the attention of the Matriarch, as he knows she doesnt have the tendencies to be attached to her hatchlings, but he still feels a little pang of envy when he sees her mother spending so much time with her sister.

Edrakan is a stern dragon who isnt afraid to remind to desobediant dragons who is in charge, with his intimidating voice or in extreme case, his claws and fangs, but he would definitly avoid physical violence with his clanmates. Still, he isnt a despleasant clanmate, as he ensures that every needs of individuals is fullfilled and is always ready to lend a claw with anything. Anything... except relationship advices or any stupid emotional mingle between dragons.
That is so, because this big intimidating Guardian is in fact very sensitive, but he sees it as a potential weakness other could takes advantage of and threaten his efficiency and title as the Leading Guard. In fact, he is deeply touched by the emotions circling in the clan and between his clanmates. He doesnt want anyone to sees this part of him, but let it out instead by caring for the needs of others.

He is too shy to admit it to her, but he makes sure she is part of his gathering or patrolling parties as much as possible to enjoy her presence, but not too often to make it obvious. When some insightful dragons seem to notice itand confront him about it, not without a certain amusement, he always retorts dryly with the plausible excuse that her skills are essential to the mission. He is not wrong, the strong dragoness seems to excel in everything.
Edrakan admire her strengh and her beauty. She is the only dragon who gives him the conforting sensation of being safe. Deep within his heart, she seems to be the only one he wants to protect with all his strengh and his might, but he feels conflicted about it, as he should equally protect every clanmate, and even more her mother the Matriarch. He wish she could feels the same way about him and be the one who makes the first move to a romantic relationship...
