He convinced her to flee with him and she naively accepted, more than star-struck by his intelligence and warm personality. Her attraction toward him didn't go unnoticed and he cultivated it with the subtlety of a slow-growing cancer.

Accepted into the Eternity Clan he introduced her to his line of work bit by bit, finessing her raw elemental potential while also schooling her in his many engineering projects. It was all new and fascinating and he so galant, wise and patient.

He waited until she was irrevocably infatuated with him and then showed her the darker side of his investigations.

Common sense didn't overcome the desires of her heart, not at first at least. Love is blinding but still her conscience couldn't remain confounded forever while their combined efforts came to fruition.
