Biography
She wandered quite far from her nest that day, puffing her dark little feathers whenever the wind would kick up. She was having a blast all on her own, until-
WHUMP-!
Something massive landed in front of her. An indescribable shadowy beast, covered in mysterious rags and runes. She froze in place. Clearly it saw her there, her dark-colored feathers sticking out against the white snow, but the stink of rot and death made her feel... trapped.
After a moment's silence, the thing spoke in a raspy, twisted voice, "Where are your parents, little one?" Meep shivered, and let out a nervous squeak in return. The beast mocked her happily, "Didn't they teach you not to wander? Naughty hatchlings should be taught a lesson..."
Suddenly, the beast produced a needle and thread in one claw, and a ragged, stitched-together piece of cloth in the other. Grinning, it flung the items in her direction, magically controlling their movements, "I think this color will suit you nicely!"
The cloth began to wrap itself around her, like a skin-tight suit, and the needle finished the final seams, never quite touching the hatchling herself. In an act of desperation, she cried out and scrambled away, but the cloth and needle began dragging her back to the beast. As the final stitches were placed, she felt... awash with calmness. Harmony. She was complete.
"You are one of my children now. Come, child." As beast turned away, Meep saw the thing's back was covered in other tiny, silent hatchlings, all turned into patchwork dolls. Without hesitation, she climbed aboard and joined the rest....
How will Meep and the other hatchlings escape the beast? How do they act now that it's gone? Are they trapped as tiny dolls forever?
