Chelsea is delivered to Havendish Clan by the Gladekeeper in order to protect them from the Lightweaver. Chelsea starts out really bubbly but a little violent, like “I’m gonna impale you with thorns :D” and “hey guys I went hunting, here’s like twelve mammoths!” She has some training and gets to be the most powerful spell caster of the clan before she’s even hit adulthood. Then she gets traumatised - Evren is teaching her engineering with magic things when they’re attacked by a minion of the Lightweaver. Chelsea is too late to stop them from fatally wounding Evren, and she doesn’t know any healing magic to bring her back to life. The minion is long dead, but it’s too late. Chelsea has to return to the clan with Evren’s body and admit her failure. Chelsea blames herself and undergoes a drastic transition. She becomes quite austere and dedicates herself wholeheartedly to her magic, thinking that if she can just become powerful enough, she can save everyone. She becomes the scary old lady on the hill who’s the guardian of the clan. Additionally, the manor she moves into is haunted by the ghost of a baby coatl, whom Chelsea absolutely falls in love with and takes care of. She’s usually very blunt, dark, morose, and intimidating, but she has such a soft spot for this coatl ghost.
