JI-WOON
THE TRICKSTER
"Let me hear everything the pain awakens..."
v4AeO1f.png
Ji-Woon lived for the attention of others, feeling energized by their watchful eyes and the sounds of them speaking his name. He always had a desire for more. Even as a hatchling he was able to gather a lot of attention. He was able to do this while working for his parents. He could amaze visitors with his skill and performances using throwing knives. He was soon pushed by his father for more greatness, to achieve a level of fame he could never have.

And Ji-Woon was not one to disappoint. After several performances at mediocre talent shows, he was finally on a road towards stardom. He was recruited by a producer, causing him to have to travel across the Wastelands to train. For several hours a day, he would learn how to move, to sing, and to perform as a star. He was soon chosen to join a band, and the fame was practically immediate.

The Wildclaw was now living in a busy world of admiration and interviews, a crazy schedule that exhausted his bandmates. But now each day was a form of validation that he was greater than everyone else. But over time, these feelings wouldn’t last. He had yet another yearning for more. So he continued to work and act with a fake form of charm, hiding the loathing feelings he felt inside.

And then one day... There was the incident. The fire that claimed the lives of his bandmates. Little did anyone know, he could have saved them. What they didn’t know was that he relished in the sound of their voices calling out his name. Tears had been shed. Such a tragedy was celebrated. He was reborn as The Trickster, a solo artist producing his own songs now, with a darkness slowly growing inside of him. The beginning of a bloodied, deadly career.

Clan-related Lore:
Ji-Woon is a vault-born dragon, who lived in one of the many vaults scattered around the Wastelands. His parents owned the restaurant within the vault, and he had started working there at a young age. When he picked up his knife throwing act, his father started to push him towards stardom. But, it seemed his father thought he could only achieve this status while living inside of the vault, since vault-dwellers never left the vaults they lived in. Ji-Woon failed to see how he would achieve anything better if remained trapped inside of the vault, and always felt he deserved better.

So that meant he would have to escape the vault. Hearing stories from other vault-dwellers about famous dragons in past only strengthened his thought of needing to escape. So after months of planning, he finally carried out the difficult task of escaping the vault, the last thing he heard was that if he left, he could never return. But why did it matter? If he was truthfully destined for a better life of admiration, he could only find it outside of the vault. Of course he got more than he had bargained for, seeing the ruined state of the world above. But he didn't care; he had to find the life and status he deserved.

He traveled for what felt like months, narrowly escaping death at every corner, gathering what supplies he could off of dead dragons and ruined towns before finally coming across a small town. It was there that he would start performing for the dragons there at small talent shows held there. It was almost too good to be true, because it wasn't long before the town was attacked by raiders, and he was forced to move once again. It wasn't until he reached the Starfall Isles that his life really changed.

He was recruited by a Coatl named Yun-Jin, a music producer seeking out new sound and talent. He was trained and soon became the newest member of a band that desperately needed a new angle. But, just like what would be expected in life amongst the Wastelands, tragedy had struck again. He was the only surviving member of his band. And even though he was eventually rebranded as the Trickster, nothing was ever remotely okay. With his manager by his side, they had to constantly move around the Wastelands to survive.

It seemed they never should have left the Starfall Isles, but they were too far away to even think of visiting there again. And, they were assuming that where they once lived was still a safe location to be. They had no way of knowing, and, with no real place to call home they were always on the move. And not only that, his relationship with his manager started to get rocky once a strange trail of deaths started to follow them wherever they went.

One would expect the murders to just be pulled off by raiders, as raiders killed almost daily, but it was almost like Yun-Jin knew these particular murders weren't pulled off by raiders. Yes, they had been his murders, but she didn't need to know that for sure. She didn't understand his need for resources and sounds to produce his music. She didn't understand the beauty in what he collected. So not only did he have to deal with her getting angry with him for sneaking off, he had to keep her off of his trail of blood and death.

Despite that, the Trickster would still remain on top as the best artist in the Wastelands, even if they struggled to find a functioning radio station to share his newest music. Even if the radios would only play his older songs on repeat, he was sure he would still be the best.

-Ji-Woon is the one who does most of the fighting and well, killing. He mostly uses his knives, but hates if he ever has to leave some behind. So he tries to loot other dragons for their weapons so that he doesn't have to risk losing more knives.
-Killing a raider is different than killing a dragon for their screams. He rarely uses a raider as substance for his music, as he usually doesn't have long to listen to their voices before combat with them. So usually the dragons he is killing for his music aren't raiders and simply other dragons trying to survive in the Wastelands.
-Yun-Jin suspects him of the strange murders, possibly due to the fact he will sneak off, and so he has to create fake threats and other methods of distractions to keep her off of his tail.
-He still possesses his Pip-Boy (or dragon form of a Pip-Boy, as I haven't quite come up with the FR version name for it), but doesn't wear it all the time like he probably should. After seeing how raiders feel about those with Pip-Boys, he personally prefers to hide it, as he is all about status.
-The only dragon he has ever been close to is his manager Yun-Jin, as friendship was never easy to him in the past and, despite their relationship starting to have some difficulties, he still has a high level of respect and admiration for her.
-FR version of Ji-Woon is never taken by the fog, as the Entity most likely doesn't exist in my Clan lore, so therefore he probably never kills his executives due to them traveling the Wastelands together as a pair.
