The third of the lich king Sirius with one of the Gatekeeper’s, the Augur Mariam Minoa. Sent through space and time to a safer place so their father may not find them and use for his own plans.

"Betelgeuse. That will be your name," she said. May's pink wings sat folded around the three eggs in her arms. The lich king was fast asleep behind her. Despite all his power and wisdom, he had chosen to not keep an eye on her.

Wrong choice.

"You will be the firstborn. And I will take you with me." She set his egg down, and picked up the second and third, kissing the luminous shells. They lit up her weary face. "You will be Arcturus and Aldebaran. I will send you away separately. As much as I love you, it's best that we don't meet again." She sniffed slightly and set them down again. Somewhere, the sun was peeking over the horizon. It was hard to see in the Hewn city. "Perhaps a good sibling will find you. Perhaps not. Forgive me." May closed her eyes, the words barely a whisper.

She pictured that infinite space between worlds. She knew grandmother was there somewhere, but this was not about her. This was about what her legacy could bring forth. She placed her tiny scarred hands on Arcturus and Aldebaran's eggs, and in a flash hidden by her wings, they disappeared. "Goodbye, my darlings." She whispered into the night, rubbing her face once the last flickers of magic dissolved.
