• Kismet is a servant of House Marsaille, a noble house of Light flight. Despite being born in Plague territory, his allegiance is solely to Light.

• Though he is best known for his beauty, Kismet is more than able to hold his own in a fight. He is a physical fighter and utilizes a blessed lance, a relic given to him by the house he serves under.

• A talented dancer and gymnast.

Kismet cannot die, at least, not really. His body can be killed, but his soul will always find a new home, in some other place, some other time. Though he does not retain most of his memories of his past lives, he does have a vague sense of who he was, and will often recognize those he met in the past, even if he does not know them now.

Kismet’s magic is much more subtle than his siblings’. He cannot warp reality, nor time, he does not commune with the Shade. But that is not to say Kismet is not a force to be reckoned with, in his own way. Kismet’s magic affects the mind: both his own, and those of others.

Those who encounter Kismet will find themselves drawn inexorably to him, whether they like it or not. He gets stuck in one’s mind, and if you spend long enough in his thrall, it can become somewhat addictive. His presence is at once soothing and exhilarating, and hard to replicate once the effect has spread to this point. Those who share Kismet’s bloodline are immune to this effect, and are therefore usually unaware of it.

For his part, Kismet has a form of claircognizance. There are things he simply Knows, as if he has always known them, even if it is something he could not possibly know. People’s names, their interests, what to say to charm them–these are all pieces of knowledge which Kismet finds himself knowing even of complete strangers. Combined with his magical thrall, this makes him very hard to ignore, let alone dislike.

It’s hard to say whether Kismet is fully aware of his own magic. Because his siblings and descendents are immune to it, and others are so thoroughly affected by him, there’s rarely an opportunity for anyone to try and resist long enough to study it in any meaningful way.

Though his magic is strange and poorly understood, his physical abilities are much more straightforward. Kismet is a talented dancer and gymnast, and is more than capable of holding his own in a fight if push comes to shove, though he hates violence–and hates blood even more.

Despite being by no means young, Kismet’s current self is new to this world, and though there is much he Knows of others, he knows very little of himself. His compulsion to charm and be loved is all encompassing, and this can make him vulnerable to those with less than pure intentions.
