Though the Spectreshock Hideout doesn't have a clearly defined hierarchy, Ampere has established herself as the de facto leader. She radiates a cold, menacing aura, and with her innate ability to sense the other dragon's emotions (Ik she's not a skydancer yet BREED CHANGES ARE EXPENSIVE >:'/) which is particularly strong, it's impossible to keep any secrets from her. And that's when she's actually there at all; she secludes herself in a cave high in the main cavern, while her familiar Speck normally keeps watch. When she glides her way down to check on the clan, the hasty and disorganized, but lax atmosphere of the lower workshop transforms into one of obedience and fear.
While she is passionate in her research, she has an open and strong defiance of the law, and is the main dragon to blame for the clan's infamous reputation. She also has a strong distaste for dragons of other clans, and moreso other flights; the only reason she just barely tolerates the hideout sheltering outside dragons is because of her not wanting to deal with Static, who initiated the idea of outside dragons being welcomed in in the first place.

A result of one of the Hideout's questionable experiments with ghosts is Ampere's familiar Speck. In contrast to a familiar who never leaves their dragon's side, Speck tends to be everywhere she isn't. They act as her eyes and ears, keeping watch of activity in the clan when Ampere can't, and pointing her towards any suspicious activity. Being stared at by them is...unsettling. To say the least.

  • Her hatchday is new years eve
  • Speck's name is a play on pets like dogs being named Spot, and the word spectre (Speck's name was decided before I decided on calling the lair the Spectreshock Hideout, it's a coincidence)
