Successful Necrolocke

Amiri struggles, for several days, against the creeping infection trying to rot out her skin. Her fur sheds, turning paler and paler by the moment, more sickly each time she spies a new clump drifting away in the breeze. The air burns against her newly-exposed skin, and she prays, and fights with everything she has. It feels like multiple sets of claws raking over her, tearing rents in her flesh with every pass.

But it does not last forever. As she acclimates, she begins to note how the disease moves through her body, her blood, how it dances upon her skin and weaves through her fur. It's like the smoke of a cooling pile of embers, gusting and volumous, but ephemeral, temporary. Once she's drawn that realization, everything changes.

It's like she can feel it moving through her, and just as she might have played with the smoke-path as a child, directing it with gusts from her wings and swipes of her claws, the disease answers her and does as she asks. Her skin will heal, her fur will grow back, and with the new power she's gained, the potential for much stretches before her.
