tumblr_pelod6tOrq1tv56zio7_75sq.png A reclusive dragon that resides in the darkest part of the swamp, Calpa has been a herbalist for a very long time. He has resided in the swamp for as long as the surrounding dragon clans can remember. They do not like to talk of Calpa to outsiders though, not only is he a powerful healer and can cure many ailments, dragons that go looking for him often do not come back...
Calpa was hatched a long time ago to as a pearlcatcher to a poor family. He learned the trade of farming and living off the land. As he grew, he observed that other dragons were only interested in you if you could perform a service, if you could give them something that they deemed of value they would accept you.

He managed to get a job working for a wealthy family as a gardener and grounds manager of their clan's estate. He was the best at his job than any of the other gardeners had ever been, and had learned through hard work. He was indifferent about the family, they paid him, but they also were the clan that had the monopoly on all the business which is why his clan was so impoverished. He made grew many rare herbs for "the family" because they had the resources to purchase some of the more expensive herbs he wanted to study and learn about. There was a dragon of the rich clan that grew jealous of Calpa's progress and thought that he should learn his place. This dragon told Calpa of a rare vine that was in bloom only for a few days a year, but it was in the deepest part of the swamp. This dragon had set up with a bandit that they were to dispose of Calpa in the swamp, but as Calpa reached the spot that the ambush was to happen, he found the most beautiful flower. This flower had been touched by the magic of a Veilspun that lived in the swamp and it turned Calpa into a Veilspun, allowing him to escape the eyes of the bandit. Calpa decided then that he did not owe anyone anything, and that he would live the rest of his life doing what he loved and with his newfound power, finally had the ability to do it.
With their newfound power Calpa made his home in the depths of the swamp. he spent his time collecting the herbs of the wilds and even making new ones when he needed them. He lost track of time, but that was how he liked it, he was finally free to not worry about the troubles and worries of their past. Over time Calpa's name grew to legend in the surrounding clans and a few dragons began to search for Calpa for cures to the incurable, sicknesses of magic and ailments caused by curses. This is how Calpa met Feithid, and they bonded over their love of the study of magic. Calpa can now be found a little easier, but they are still wary of others. Always bring something in return for your herbs and never insult or agress him. All those years of magic study paid off...
