lore notes:
- her parents were former part-time employees at Jess's bar
- they worked there every so often, but not all the time
- all was good for a while
- uuuuuntil jess discovers that they're actually on the run from some bad dragons. and they thought they were relatively safe until one day the dragons that were after them visit the bar asking questions
- they weren't there at the time, and jess got bad vibes from them so they didn't give the dragons any info
- the next time they came into work, jess confronted them about it like "yo, you didn't tell me you two were fugitives"
- and they PANIC. they thought they were safe now, but clearly They Were Wrong.
- jess reassures them that they told the dragons nothing, but is clearly pretty concerned for them. they obviously don't want this to be an ongoing thing, they don't want to put them or the bar in any danger
- the two are now wary to work, but continue to do so for a while
- until one day, they come in a panic, dragging a little hatchling with them
- they explain that they've been found, and they cannot stay here any longer, but a life on the run is no life for their newly hatched kid
- and so jess is like ":/ i didn't found this bar to become a parent, but okay, i guess."
- and that was that.
- oasis has very little memory of her parents, but she hopes that one day she'll meet them again
