Rhiannon is a 'sister' of Selene-the Lightweaver decided to make another in the same way, but kept secret and away from the eyes of the Shadowbinder. She jealously guarded the dragon that would become Rhiannon and infused her with so much light magic so the Shadowbinder could never claim her.

This resulted in Rhiannon developing additional wings, with feathers made of hard light and additional horns made seemingly of gold. The Lightweaver saw this and was pleased; creating for her a mantle to channel her wings into in order to give her an even more divine look.

The Lightweaver had many expectations of Rhiannon-she was supposed to be a leader of the Light faction, a messenger of the Lightweaver herself to encourage more dragons to devote themselves to Her. To be highly proficient in all Light magics and more.

Rhiannon did not live up to those expectations. She preferred to be left alone (no doubt in part due to the Lightweaver keeping her so close and just with her), was quiet and her magic manifests as close ranged rather than being capable of both close and far ranged. Additionally, her magic is best combined with something else than in a pure form-channeled through claws or weapons.

And that's not getting into Light dragons being uneasy with her around; finding her just a bit too off for a dragon. Rhiannon became even more closed off from others due to this. Eventually, she just felt like a huge disappointment to the Lightweaver and the Lightweaver Herself struggled with the failures She saw in Her creation.

So one day, she slipped away to find the sister the Lightweaver lamented so much about. It was thankfully easy to find Selene; the sheer magnitude of Shadow magic could be sensed from miles away by one keenly aware of how to tap into such energies.

Landing at the Clan's base, she quickly found Selene in her den...and was apprehended by several from the Intel Subdivision. Selene stopped them from taking her away, sensing familiarity. Wishing to speak with her in private, Selene invited her into her den. Miles, being the sweet husband he is, took the opportunity to brew some tea and bring out some light snacks before leaving. Luna stood guard outside the den to prevent anyone too curious about their business from being able to listen in.

Once the two sisters were comfortable, Selene asked about who Rhiannon was, why was she here and more. Rhiannon answered and then asked her questions on what happened with Selene, how her life had been and Selene answered in turn. Many snacks were consumed and tea refilled. Eventually, both sisters came to the conclusion that the Lightweaver and Shadowbinder were terrible sisters and ended up dragging in innocents.

Rhiannon was grateful for the answers she got, but didn't know where to go from here. Perhaps back to the Lightweaver...until Selene suggested that she stay here. Selene also taught her how to change her appearance as to not freak anyone out with her Light essence before mentioning that she could join under Rairye; he'd find a position for her that she might like. Rhiannon agreed and with Selene, they went to visit Rairye, who was ecstatic. He offered for her to go with him on spelunking to protect him from harm as well as just generally being a guard. Rhiannon agreed immediately-adventure sounded fun and she was very capable as a fight. For the first time she could remember, she was genuinely happy and excited to see the future held for her. She greatly enjoys petting Jiro and watching out for him too.
