Jades power is controlling spirits of the dead. This is a form of black magic, and due to her overuse of her power in the past she has lost sight in one eye and it has since turned a brown color. Jade always thought that her magic could never harm her, that there was no way, but black magic always has repercussions in one way or another. She became more closed off and secluded after she had her accident. Always lurking in the shadows and talking to the spirits of the dead, who she thought were much better company than those of the living. The spirits sometimes take on the form of frogs and follow her around in order to be less noticable

Jades power is incredibly powerful, but she would much rather just use it to do simple chores and things that wont affect her body or the outside world enough for something bad to happen. The one time her powers got completely out of control, she hurt not only herself but also Sirenity who was with her at the time. Sirenity has many scars from the incident which left her right wing unable to function properly and Jade feels immeasurable guilt whenever she sees her, if only she had been in better control. If only she hadn't thought she could do anything.
