Idris

their birth was surrounded in misfortune as when their egg was laid no non magpie pairs had any nests for them to be placed amongst. due to this when they hatched they were a rather sickly child and their parents feared that they would not survive long. miraculously they pulled through; but it was at a cost. They were unable to copy the appearance/strain immunity of other variants.

Idris grew up coddled and often morose; too tired to run about playing and feeling out of place. With no ability to disguise himself he began to see himself as an failure/incomplete and struggled with his own self worth. Luckily he survived to adulthood and grew physically stronger and more capable; but he was unable to change his form to blend in amongst other variants. He is still somewhat bitter at his lot in life; feeling an outsider in is own family and younger magpie's who were now carefully planned to nest amongst other variants. With age he has become more outspoken and brazen; decided he would be proud at his lack of ability to hide his true nature. Still he still feels insecure about it beneath the surface.

He makes easy friends with Dimir after his return to the clan and decides to join him and his sister on their journey to the outside world.
