Biography
Arvias

B I O G R A P H Y
She works by freezing the metal with the intense cold that came packaged with her magical origins. The metal then becomes brittle, and takes on a unique, matte pattern bearing resemblance to ice crystals. She then smashes the edges of the sheet of, creating jagged shards which can then be frozen together, creating unique armour, weaponry, or anything else her clan needs her to do. Many dragons are averse to Arvias’ products- mainly because of their terrifying look. Though she makes sure that if working with armour, padding is always applied so as to not stab the dragon it’s supposed to be protecting. And for weaponry? Arvias always reminds them the sharper the blade, the better- and jagged edges sanded to a point can provide excellent defense or dangerous offense. |

After taking a second to admire the thing- it was almost the size of her- she got to work, cutting around the parts which no longer reflected light. When she was done, her saw blade had been dulled almost to the point of losing its use. But where a massive, useless sheet of rusted metal used to be, now sat a pile of smaller yet shiny metal pieces, each full of potential. Arvias grabbed on and set the others aside, readying the magic she’d been born with. Long ago, she’d begun her existence- no parents, no magical ice shards; just, poof. Though one thing that she had been granted was extreme cold, far more dangerous than your average Ice born dragon. Since then she’d done a full 180 and moved into the art of blacksmithing, though with her own chilly twist. She set her claws on the sheet, and watched with fascination as ice crystals slowly travelled outwards and over the metal. Watching closely, she flipped it over and did the same on the other side- careful not to affect the wooden table. Now the metal had acquired a matte finish, complimented by a faint crystalline pattern. From years of experience, Arvias knew this pattern would become more prevalent once the metal was finished. Here came the loud part- so loud, in fact, that Arvias occasionally had to put in earplugs. Though she figured this sheet was small enough she didn’t need them. So instead of reaching for ear protection, she grabbed her trusty hammer, and got smashing. The sound that emanated from that sheet as it broke was loud enough to hear outside Arvias’ small workshop. It shattered into a couple small pieces, just the perfect size to be melded together to create a helmet or set of booties- maybe even a tail guard. But before she could create, Arvias had to destroy. So she continued smashing the pieces until they were all smaller and jagged. Now Arvias had to really put her powers to use. She’d found that when the metal was cold enough, it would fuse together, as if it had been traditionally welded. Though it could also be her icy abilities at play. So she began, using a coatl bust to mold the pieces around. When she was finished, she deftly applied the padding and set it to cool- or rather, warm. Once finished with the whole pile of frosted metal shards, she’d have an excellent set of armour for any coatl warrior. |
