Sunriver

Sunriver was a cheerful Skydancer. His jokes might not always fall perfectly, and his laughs sound awkward sometimes, but those times were getting rarer. The crowds he usually performed to — whenever he had a break from his normal job — adored him, and he thrived in the attention they gave him.

He made it his life goal to make others happy, because their happiness resulted in his own happiness, and everyone won in the end.

(Nevermind that he felt the pressure to be good like a crushing mountain on his shoulders, nevermind that he was running from his grief and sorrow, nevermind that there were less and less coming to this town which meant less tips, nevermind it all—)

So Sunriver plastered on a smile, and made others clap and laugh.

(Because what else was a clown good for?)
