Biography

Found on 12-23-2020 in an egg via a chest in coliseum venue 'Ghostlight Ruins'.
Hunting party was Apollo, Newt, and Masque.

Theme

During the last phase of the year, when the nocturnes took to the skies, a single egg was lost in the frenzied dance of mimics and leathery wings. Scouting for threats in the darkened ruins, a party of Gypsum dragons stumbled instead upon prospective new blood...

A quiet and reserved young lady with a peculiar fondness for ghost stories, Sofia started out a quiet and withdrawn hatchling who seemed to avoid making connections with other dragons. She would often take it upon herself to investigate haunted sites by her lonesome, clutching hopes of a supernatural encounter of the likes which she's only read in books. When offered an apprenticeship to Patchouli to begin honing her magical skills and perhaps begin a career approach to spirit channeling, she kindly declined, stating she 'already has a mentor', whom she meets with on full moons during the small hours of the evening. Realizing Outsider had chosen a prodigy, the council respected her choice.

During a training session with Outsider when Sofia was still a youth, the once-nocturne went through a profound change when she entered the otherrealm with her mentor in order to communicate with him. When the orphan returned, her body had morphed into the guise of a Veilspun, presumably either by a stray curse, or a mutation triggered by her mana's exposure to the odd fluctuations of the veil between.

After a difficult period in her life where she had to come to terms with her body's changes, Sofia mellowed out and became the quiet, calm spiritual medium most of Gypsum is familiar with this day. No longer adverse to communicating with others, she is a silent and soft presence often found reading in the library or speaking with her fellow scholars about mana theorem. Outsider still speaks through her and teaches her of the many mysteries beyond the veil, but oftentimes these mysteries remained locked inside the meditative stature of this peaceful woman, not to be shared unless the times demand it.

She is close friends with Odollam and will often be found visiting him at 'The Sleeping Glow' where he works. They often open a joint fortune-telling stall on holidays.
