Domino is the clan's head mechanic they mostly take care of the clans weather protection system as well as taking commissions from near by clans and travelers to build and repair items for them. They rarely leave the clan always working on something in their room or lair. They often work themselves to ill health or fatigued, when this happens their assistance Gigaflops aids them in recovering as well as carrying on important work while they are unable. They’re also well known in the area for being a genius with cyber prosthetics many dragons come to them to have an upgrade or purchase a prosthetic from them. They also work on normal prosthetic limbs for dragons that can’t afford the cybernetic type. Domino isn’t very social, they don’t hang out with many within the clan. They’re mostly accompanied by Giga they can be seen often sitting in corners or by themselves chatting idly or tinkering with some machine. Though Domino can often be seen being pestered by the clans alchemist Flarebreaker. Flare is always eager to show Domino their recent projects and experiments in alchemy trying to engage in scientific discussions about it. Though, Domino doesn’t consider alchemy a science it’s more of a “Hatchlings playing with magic and goo” so Flare doesn’t get very far usually. Flare is more of an annoying sibling to Domino than anything else they can get alone sometimes but it’s mostly like watching an older sibling dealing with a young hatchling. Recently Domino has been more reclusive lately and staying cooped up in her work room. They hardly let anyone inside other than Giga. This behavior started after they came back from their journey to find their charge. They were gone for a couple months before returning back to the clan with a case. They only ever revealed their chosen object to their parents and Giga. Though, while snooping around Flare has caught a glimpse of it. The object they keep in a private quarters within their workplace in a crystal ball about as big as an average fae including its wings. A soft eerie blue glow illuminates in it, if you would touch it a smoke like tendrils will touch back eventually, they would form a clawed hand and then a body reminiscing a dragon, the breed changes based on what it desires as well as the user. The crystal ball will give knowledge and information to the dragon it wields. If the dragon is not strong of will the crystal ball will warp the dragon's mind and cause it to act abnormally and even cause permanent mental damage. So far it seems Domino has faired well against the mind powers of the crystal and has even bonded with the spirit(s) within to something that can be seen as friendship. Though, talking with the crystal for long periods of time drains the energy from Domino faster than normal despite the complaints from her parents and Giga they still work just as hard as before so they have fallen ill more frequently as of late. Domino has no needs for romantic relationships or children. They like caring for the hatchlings from time to time but they would never had their own. They fear they would be an unfitting parent and not be able to raise the child the way one should be raised. They sometimes crave a relationship that resembles a romantic one but it’s hard to find a dragon that understands what a relationship like that is. Giga is the only dragon thus far that has come close to being that for them. Though Giga, is more like a brother to Domino so he can’t really fulfill that needed relationship for her completely. |
