ShadowBinder's, were created in the image of their brooding diety. Their creation was completely accidental when Shadowbinder was trying to manipulate the shadows of all of Sornieth, she inadvertently corrupted a clutch of eggs. When the little hatchlings were born they looked nothing like their parents, who were brightly colored, the hatchlings were perfect copies of Shadowbinder. When Shadowbinder realized what she had done, she wanted nothing more then to hide her mistake. She quickly swooped in and took the hatchlings, intending to hide them from the world, as well as the other Deities. As we all know though nothing stays hidden forever, ShadowBinder had no idea how far her Magic had reached.

News spread of these odd hatchings, these ShadowBinder favored dragons. These young hatchlings were revered and any clan who produces such a hatchling believed it was a sign of Shadowbinder's favor. The hatchlings were so very proud to be chosen by their Shadow mother, these little tricksters were the best of spies for their deity. Nothing happened in Sornieth, that these shadow creations didn't know about. They happily reported back to their ShadowBinder, hoping to gain favor of their aloof Shadow Mother.

Over time Shadowbinder saw the usefulness of these accidents, information was flowing in from her adoring children. Time passed uneventfully and with no more hatchlings, she finally began to relax. Then the unthinkable happened, months after the first incident another hatching! Shadowbinder sent her children to investigate and found the same unusual hatching. Her children being creation of magic and shadow could feel residual magic all around them. One could actually hear giggling from within the shadows. It was found out that on the day of the incident, some of Shadowbinder’s magic had created sentient shadows. These shadow’s held some sparks of Shadowbinder’s magic, as the shadows blanketed incubating eggs the magic did its work. The parents of these anomalies began showing their love by naming the males Shadow and the females Binder. Shadowbinder was not amused and when her children began to exhibit their own bit of magic she was less amused.

Eye Ability
Common: no magic they just look like shadowbinder and are very proud to do so
Uncommon: can see in magical darkness with ease
Unusual: they can percieve things through their own shadow, but cant manipulate it
Rare: can use nearby shadows to percieve things (small radius) but lose control of their own body if they do so
Faceted: same as above but with a larger radius and they can somewhat control their body, although theyre slow/weak/etc
Goat: illusions dont work on them at all and they can tell when something is trying to decieve them
Multi-gaze: Ability to manipulate shadow and allow Shadowbinder to see through their many eyes. (Favorite of her “children”
Primal: Ability to manipulate shadows/immune to illusions/communicate through shadows
