The Effluvial Crow’s trademark contagion. A distinctly bittersweet smell swiftly accompanies it once secreted from their claws, trailing a line of black smoke in its wake.

If afflicted, enhanced strength, fever, dizziness and confusion are among the first symptoms to develop. Once it has fully incubated within its new host, one final symptom will appear at last--uncontrollable bloodlust.

This strain is used to goad the Effluvial Crow’s opponent into attacking without pretense, allowing them both to engage in what is considered a “pure fight.” Healing potions only serve to strengthen the infection’s effects, speeding up what is already a dangerously quick process.

The greater the lifeforce of the victim, the hotter the disease burns, until at last, the victim's body succumbs from physical strain, unable to keep up with their own rampaging madness.

This type of strain is able to be used on all members of the Crow family with exception to the Effluvial Crows themselves--who are naturally immune. It is delivered via a puncture from their claws.

A Jackdaw-unique trait hailing directly from the Effluvial Crow bloodline.

Though they cannot produce the trademark [Shatter Morale] ability that their relatives are known for. This trait instead allows them to be able to keenly identify feathers belonging to the different Crow variants within a quick glance--granting them invaluable utility for those looking to glimpse in on Crow society.

They are able to tell individual apart from individual at a glance, and are more attuned to the ways of fortune telling using said feathers. Their readings have an uncanny way of being fairly close to home.

An Effluvial Crow latent perk. It replaces one’s knee-jerk “flight or fight'' reaction with simply “fight or fight.” It makes one’s personality dauntless in the face of danger. Not to be confused with blind foolishness, it instead allows one to adopt the persona of a true challenger ready to confront their opponents.

It grants the individual the ability to appropriately size up their enemies to see if it is worth the time of day. Not only that, it ensures that fear is seldom ever a variable within the hearts of those with Effluvial blood running through it. Their minds are as clear as day.

An Effluvial Crow latent perk. It makes them immune to all manners of maladies and infection alike. Nothing short of depths of the Wyrmwound itself is going to likely have a hold over them.
