Halite "Again the breeze hides, silenced..." Not much time has passed since Halite and her siblings joined the underground rebellion of Cinderslag, under the guidance of the Aestus Breeze[1]. Though the atmosphere provides a great challenge to adapt to because of its acrid airs and scorching heat, Halite is determined to give her aid to the dragons kept here against their will. (to Shirai) "I suppose I could tell you more about myself, if you so wish." "I'm an alchemist by trade. I specialize in healing concoctions." "That's about it, really. A Past Is Only Troubled if That Is One’s Perspective Halite hails from a guild formerly active in Millmeadows. Her parents were some of the first to leave her birth clan, after sensing the downfall of their home. Many times, Halite has looked back on her past memories, trying to find reason in their decision. Alas, she found none. No reason why she and her siblings were never even given names. Left behind with her two younger siblings, Halite was forced to think of a solution and find a way to take care of her family. For much longer than expected, Halite contemplated her situation. Many ideas she cast away, thinking they weren't good enough. As she was starting to run out of ideas, she felt despair for the first time in her rather short life. Those negative feelings soon started dissipating, as her prayers were answered. Halite was given a gift from her deity, the Windsinger, who took pity on her because of her unfair circumstances. She gained a type of foresight, with which she is able to listen to the Four Breezes[2], and choose the best path to follow after hearing their guidance. Thus, Halite packed whatever she though necessary for a journey, and, together with her siblings, set off to find their new home. |
