Biography
All dragons have dreams.
Some good – some bad.
All have them,
but where do they go when they are gone?
What importance are they?
Why do we have them?
Xenophon does not know why we have them,
but he does know where they go once they are gone.
He is the Keeper of Dreams.
All kinds of dreams- the happy ones that linger in your heart
the crazy ones that bounce all over and make no sense
the sad ones that fill you will longing
the one where you feel you're falling and your wings won't work
All dreams he knows
(except the darkest ones- those are the domain of the Dragon Nightmare)
As you sleep and dream, Xenophon is there
feeling every thought, experiencing every emotion,
they are in him, of him, always there.
What does he do with them?
The bouncy, all-over-the place dreams he ponders, trying to see a connection, searching for meanings because he know we all wonder why we have such WEIRD dreams. If he can connect the dots, he slides that into the subconscious so the dreams do not worry the dreamer.
In the dreams infused with Joy, Xenophon basks in the rays of happiness, soaks in every ounce of beauty and goodness that he can absorb. He hold those dreams closest in his heart, kept at the ready for times of deep sorrow or worry.
For his heart breaks each time a dragon cries in his dreams. At those times, Xenophon curls tight around the sleeping dragon so that he is not alone in his pain. If he can, he gently sifts happy memories of dreams back into the grieving dragon, to help ease the pain, and give hope that there is more than sadness.
In the dreams of fear and worry, Xenophon stand guard, ready to intercept as many of those dreams as possible so that the dreamer is not overwhelmed as he is under attack. Again, he tries to remind of the good times, the things worth having so that they might be used as shields and weapons in the battle. And if he cannot protect, he tries to sooth, to ease the worried souls away from their fears, and back into consciousness.
Not only is he the Keeper of Dreams,
he is also the Protector of Dreamers,
the Comforter of the Restless,
the Hope in the Darkness
and the Joy of the Light.
He is Xenophon.

He didn't often get out and mingle with many dragonfolk, but today was a special request from his dear friend, Nickoli. Both males dragons were a bit of oddities. For one thing, they were immortal. And both of them had very non-traditional tasks. While Xenophon cared for others by collecting and guarding their dreams, Nickoli brought Joy to others with his passionate Love.
The two friends had laughed and remembered good tymes over a few mugs of hot coca. But now Xenophon was wandering the market, looking for treasures among the multitude of shops and cats overflowing with gifts of all size, shape, color and purpose.
Right now, he was perusing a large tent. Outside, daylight shone bright but inside, there was darkness in the high rigging and corners. But there were also candles, hundreds of candles burning in all kinds of scones and candelabra and holders.
Candles called to his soul. They could sooth a wounded heart or bring hope into darkness. They encouraged fellowship and kept fears at bay. They were tools of his trade.
Wandering through the tables, Xenophon paused when his eye was caught by a very unusual candle-holder. It's handle was made in the shape of a horn, and a snake curled at the base while he could almost see the shimmer sparkling lights surrounding the flame flickering bright.
A grin split his face. He knew before he saw it that there was a tag attached with his name upon it in fancy script. Nickoli knew him so well.
