He is extremely loyal to his mates, Emily and Krysathi, and he does everything he can to make the two happy and safe (to make Krysathi happy, it takes some effort, and money). He loves both of them to bits and takes care of them both. Whenever his mates are attacked, he loses his cowardice and becomes a blazing inferno of anger. Well, he doesn't go into a complete rage, but he is still braver than he ever is.

He has a great group of friends, including Emily, Slade, Krysathi, and much more. Between them, they have bonded strong friendships and often make jokes about each other. Emily jokingly calls him a "Shiny Charizard" because of his dragon look and flaming tail (Also the similarity is if his flame goes out on his tail, Obsidian goes into a comalike state. If it is out for a long period of time, he'll die.) In return for this, he called Emily Gay peacock, because of her rainbow-like feathers and peacock feathered tail. The jokes they have between them are endless make them the strongest of friends. One of his strongest relationships is with Quazar. They have known each other since birth and they have grown up with each other
A Gemstone dragon, part of a pure lineage of dragons made of pure rock and stone. Usually, if the dragon has the name of its stone, it is the purest it can be. Obsidian is well, as you can see by his name, is made of obsidian, and molten lava. His thick scales are made of obsidian his blood and flesh being made of lava. When he breaths his chest glows with warmth and fire. He is a very powerful dragon in the flame element, able to control lava and flame. He doesn't like to show his power, he doesn't like to scare other dragons. Because of his warmth, he has attracted a tiny Ember Mouse which he calls Flammula, which translates into "little flame".

He tries his best, for being a bigger dragon, to be gentle to tiny things. He is always watching where he steps, always afraid he may crush someone smaller than him. He always makes sure his Flammula is tucked away somewhere in his big wings or fins so he knows she is safe. He is a known thing to sunbathe on. Faes and smaller dragons would lay on his back or wings when he is resting outside for the considerable amount of heat he produces.

He is a big and very intimidating dragon, but he doesn't act like it, AT ALL. He is a very cowardly dragon, easily scared, and doesn't like to do dangerous things. He screams almost exactly like a little girl that has witnessed the most terrifying thing in her life when he is scared. Slightly. His friends frequently tease him about it, but it is one of his most recognizable traits.
