Biography
Awakened Familiar - Bluelight Chipskink 'Skitter'
April 18th, 2024
Skitter raced across the ground. "Don't fall." Permafrost warned jokingly. Skitter looked back, tilted his head, then kept going. He raced for the edge of a mountainside. "Don't fall!" Permafrost shouted, more serious this time. Skitter skidded to a halt the instant he reached the cliffside. Permafrost stood up, spread her wings, and fluttered over to Skitter. "You do this every day." She muttered with a smile and he jumped onto her shoulder and curled himself around her arm. Skitter chirped something. "No," Permafrost growled softly, "I went hunting yesterday and you picked at your food! We're having that again until you EAT YOUR FOOD instead of WASTING IT." She rose into the air and glided to their home. She stepped onto the doorstep and pet Skitter on the head. When reaching for the door, she saw an Imperial racing over to her. She tilted her head and didn't let her gaze move away from him. "Hey! You!" He shouted, breathing hard. "Yes?" Permafrost asked. He halted in front of her, grinding up the dirt a little bit. "Is that a Bluelight Chipskink?" He asked, staring directly at Skitter. "...What do you think?" Permafrost said with a mischievous grin. "A volcano's lava went blue and gained sentience?" She joked. The imperial chuckled. "No, unless that book I read was true." A psywurm trotted up next to him. A brilliant psywurm. "Woah! Is that your familiar? It's so beautiful! No wonder these psywurms are referred to as brilliant!" The imperial's eyes flickered a lighter color in shock. "You... knew which type of psywurm it was... and said it? Normally no one bothers to specify, and just call him a psywurm...." He trailed off. Permafrost shrugged. "Dragons refer to Skitter as just a chipskink all the time, without even noticing his distinct blue shade!" "Or the fact that you lack apparel because you know he'll stick to it." The imperial commented. Permafrost's gaze drifted away from Skitter and up to the other dragon. "You... what's your name?" "Festivus. I'm a doctor for the Lanti Clan. I'm out here looking for real-life immersion, the ability to study creatures moving naturally." Festivus twiddled his claws. Permafrost smiled. "Doctor? I'm in doctor training. Could you maybe help teach me some day?" She asked. Festivus smiled. "I'm always willing to help someone with a dream."
"Opal! Sapphire! It's time for dinner!" Permafrost called. Festivus, waiting beside her, sighed. "Dragonlings... so tiring... yet I can't understand how I lived without our three." The pair had had eggs
