From a distance it may look like any other person, blending into the low lighting. Upon closer inspection, the nearer and nearer you get to it, you realize that there's just something off... This strange figure having watched you for so long almost felt like a comforting if not ominous presence. Only now, though, do you suddenly feel offput by it...

A mimicry of humanity, this beast shifts the tone of its flesh to imitate the skin and clothes of the human race. Four legs conjoin into two from afar but its true form reveals itself the more you draw near to it. A gaping maw lies open, waiting for its prey to get curious enough to wander nearby. Even its small companion, a similar parasite to itself, waits with a hungry maw to devour the careless that might mistaken it for a simple briefcase.

Intelligent and mysterious perhaps, silent and distant. Only time will tell if it sees you as something different, or as nothing more than another victim to its appetite.
