Biography
You might think that the middle of a desert is a disastrous place for a nature dragon to live. And it's true, there's little plant life to be found, and even the thought of a forest sounds like fantasy. But Philtatos has a secret weapon in his box of tricks. You see, even for a veilspun, Philtatos is small. Tiny, you might say. The short blooming petals of a cactus flower can form his entire bed; pillow, frame and blanket all. The jutting thorns a stairway he can scamper across, barely bending under his miniscule weight.
He uses his small size to collect plants and herbs which are hidden away and inaccessible for most other dragons, and his stores and pockets are filled with some of the rarest plants in the desert. From crushed roots and stems he can create compelling charms, from sweet harvested nectar comes persuasive perfumes and his ensorcelled elixirs are made from only the most valuable leaves and vegetation.
Mostly, though, he just likes to makes soup.
When you're as small as Philtatos is there also comes some... disadvantages. More than once he has gone to sleep curled up in his flower of choice, only to awaken and find that he's been carried, sometimes for miles, as part of another dragons freshly picked bouquet. Not that he minds this at all, a free ride is a difficult thing to come across in the Taer and he's not about to look a gift horse in the mouth.
