In Serpents darkest hour, when she lost her past mate, Neo came for her. No one else was able to get through to Serpent but Neo. He was able to restore the pride and confidence in the Clan Leader who assumed power even stronger than she was before. Needless to say Neo and Serpent became attached deeply to each other and was welcomed as one of the Originals unspokenkly. His calm level-headed behavior compliments Serpent as her partner.

With his charm and charisma Neo became a councilor of sorts for the originals and any one else who needs it. He helps those who are working through trauma or need help organizing emotions. Something that most dragons don’t realize they need. He’s been trying to break though to Juno and Scara for what feels like ages but some are just tougher to break. He’s helped plenty others though, like Iroh with resting more, Karat with her attention and Nexus with his depression.
