DESCRIPTION  
Icarus flips a coin between his fingers, looking up as the door opens. It's nearly closing time, but he doesn't mind; the last patrons of the night are often those most eager to spend. He stretches over the counter with a languid breath, wing gripping the far edge to keep balance as he props his head on his hand. "What can I do you for this fine evening?" Icarus asks with a lazy smile. The stranger's eyes shift. They gulp, tugging at a scarf. Oh, they won't be wearing that for long. He rolls the coin across his knuckles, drawing the stranger's eye. "Please, be at ease, friend," he says, voice dripping with honey. "We have a little something for everyone." He winks, and the stranger gulps again. A low thump can be heard over the music from one of the back rooms, no doubt a patron going a little too far and collapsing in a stupor. Hopefully it was one of the ones with someone else along to play nursemaid for them. "I- I h-" The stranger stumbles over their words, anticipation crisp with nervousness. Icarus smiles a little more warmly, and the stranger's eyes dart as they try again. "I heard you have something called... the wisp-in-a-bottle?" "Ahhh, a dragon of taste, I see," Icarus replies. He hops over the counter, giving his fresh new customer a start. "Right this way my friend," he says, gesturing down the hall, eyeing the bulging coinpurse at the stranger's waist as they turn that way. He leans down, whispering close, "I have exactly what you seek." The shiver down his customer's spine tells him all he needs to know. |
