Theastaigh

Theastaigh was found by a group of scouts outside of his clan. He had just seen his hatchlings born out of a long hibernation and quickly found himself leaving the clan. Theastaigh was without a name and didn't know much outside of hatching nests and living many weeks in the hibernal den of his clan. When the scouts found him and offered him a home he was very unsure. He assumed he would be working for a deity after leaving his clan. After being introduced to the bright expanse of the light flight territory, he was shocked by the difference. It took him a long time to accept his worth outside of what he could give the clan. The clan decided to name him Theastaigh which means "wanted" and give him a place where he would work for himself and not others. Elestraea, the mage of the clan decided to take him on as an apprentice despite being considerably younger than him. She knew he needed to learn a skill for himself and be impressed by the magic he began to create. Eventually, Theastaigh began to flourish outside his previous clan, learning that his worth is outside of what he can provide. He has come to accept that he is more than his genetics.
