does most interactions with the clan; she guards the connection between the Tunnels and the underwater tubes to the only exit point.

Abelia is unique among the Sect for being a hybrid dragon like most of the dragons of the Clan. While she refuses to speak about why she is a member of the Sect instead of the Clan itself, it does allow her easy access to the Tunnels and makes it easy for the dragons of the clan to trust her.
Of course, it also helps that Abelia is still very recognizable as a Spiral, despite her smaller wings and the external spine and ribs that run along her body.
