Hecate practically lives in the small room set aside for archives, barely leaving it for anything other than absolute necessity, and even then she prefers to get someone else to get what she needs for her. Everyone copes with having to be in the outpost in their own special ways. Hers just happens to be becoming a complete shut-in. Hecate keeps records on any abnormal activity, and on all the normal activity as well, along with extensive psychological and physical profiles of all outpost residents; detailed notes on the layout and function of every room and the territory in a few miles' radius; digitized backup files on everything that may prove relevant; well over a hundred regular books to help stave off cabin fever; and a disturbing amount of unlabeled notebooks written in an unrecognizable script. Those are for personal reference only. She's a generally nervous dragon, although when given an opportunity to explain anything she knows about, she gladly will, for perhaps longer than strictly necessary. Hecate doesn't talk about why she ended up in Last Stand. Or about any personal information, actually. Wringing her name out of her is a torment in itself, and by that point, most give up on getting anything else. The most information anyone has is that she may or may not have a sister, or several siblings (it's very ambiguous), and that she sometimes writes letters to a dragon in the Starfall Isles. Still, it becomes evident that there's something off about her in some way. Maybe it's the way she seems to intently listen to things nobody else can hear. Maybe it's the hours she spends standing on the roof on those rare occasions she leaves the archive, staring off into the distance. Maybe it's- Again- The notebooks that are literally unreadable but seem to make perfect sense to her.

does not use her necromantic abilities; her 'yo spirit come over here and possess me' thing lets her use a lot more of the powers they had in life than persephone's but as she's never used it she doesnt even know; yes she can see and talk to ghosts no she doesnt actually do that ever. we exist
