Ylon

Ylon left his old clan to follow his heart. The ice fields were a cold place, but Yvette made it worth it. When she left him for a new mate, he decided to go see the world...
And so his story began.

Ylon's first stop was the Stormdancer clan of the Shifting Expanse. The Spiral was quite taken aback when an intimidating Ridgeback strode up to him, eyed him coldly, and asked what exactly he wanted. He stumbled over his words for a few moments before he finally admitted that he was hoping for a change of pace after the loss of his mate.

She arched a brow, instructed one of her clanmates to slap a bandage on him for his aching heart, then sent him on his way.

Poor Ylon, not much happier than before, arrived at Clan Huldra to be greeted by mostly silence. Without much ado, he was put to watch over the newest hatchlings, as nobody else had the time. Thinking of children, however, didn't help him forget his broken heart, and he soon moved on.

Ylon's luck seems to change for a bit when he happens upon the crumbling lair in the Mirrorlight Promenade. He's welcomed warmly by the Imp and Ridgeback who are obviously in charge, and is given shelter for "as long as he needs". While there he makes the acquaintance of many odd dragons, and see others come and go. This place is a home for those who have no place else, and, as welcoming as it was, was not the place for him. He soon moves on with his journey.

Ylon stayed for a while in the Star Wood, with a clan of magic-obsessed dragons. They welcomed him warmly, and he was able to forget his woes in the daily rhythm of life. However, trouble found its way back to him when he started a relationship with one of the ridgebacks in the clan. Their courtship was sweet but brief, and resulted in a few hatchlings. When the little ones were all grown up, Ylon realized grimly that this was not the life he wanted. With a sorrowful parting, he left the clan.
