Crane is a very versatile person. He has a lot of skills he learned from years of trying to fit in. It's worked... but he's never really been able to do the thing he loves most, dancing.

After his queen was murdered, he was forced to go on the run because they thought he was the killer.

He met Iah after ducking into a house when running from some guards. He was smitten at first sight and very nearly smited as well because Iah doesn't do well with bloodied strangers suddenly busting into his house.

He tries to look more serious then he actually is. Back when he was in the Queen's court it was "unacceptable" to be expressive or smile or laugh. Especially when he was considered a demon and any smiles or expressions other than blankness could be taken as 'evil demon is plotting'.

Crane actually hated his job as a tutor. The royal children were brats and though they enjoyed his classes they much preferred to relentlessly pester and prod at him. Due to their shenanigans his favourite class to teach the youngsters was self defense and swordsmanship because then he could turn the entire dynamic around.

He really, really likes Iah and was horribly impressed when he first actually met him. He didn't for a minute (okay but for the first second after he first saw him he was a little convinced) believe that Iah was a god.
