To the casual observer, Friend looks very much like an ordinary dragon. Nothing about her seems all that unusual; she's quiet and easily-startled, but so are many others. She walks and talks just like one might expect, and she even dresses well. By all accounts, she is a dragon. But is that really true?

Though Friend blends in with exceptional ease, she is not actually a dragon; that is, not all of the time. For most of her life, Friend was an ordinary rat who just so happened to find herself in the company of an up-and-coming young wizard. When her companion, Kuron, delved deeper into the realm of magic, he discovered that he could transfigure her into the perfect assistant. That revelation sparked a sort of new life for Friend; now, she spends a lot of time in dragon form, helping Kuron with his spells.
