sandpiper.
the water ambassador
Quote:
Sandpiper is Thunder Hollow's serene water ambassador--and the prince of one of the Sea of a Thousand Currents' largest kingdoms. He isn't particularly haughty despite his royal heritage, a trait which suits his vocation well. The way he sees it, he is a dragon, just like everyone else. The fact that he was born to a life of plenty and luxury does not bother him; he would as gladly scrub floors as sit upon a throne.
Though the privileges of his birth are of no particular concern to Sandpiper himself (for both better and worse), the respect his princely title holds is certainly influential when it comes to negotiating with the clans of Water. It doesn't help that Sandpiper is delighted by the trends of fashion and often appears to allied clans bedecked in jewelry and silks as though he swept from palace halls instead of Thunder Hollow's rowdy streets. He is a mellow character that is usually able to put confused minds at ease, but the cases wherein he fails to do so are often wildly stressful for all parties involved. This makes Sandpiper the most unpredictable ambassador of the lot, despite his relaxed nature.
When not on call to some ally or another, Sandpiper spends his days doing...nothing. He putters around the public sector, relaxing at various points for no apparent reason. He can occasionally be found in the library, drowsing over a dense novel and occupying too many floor pillows. He seems to have little guiding purpose in his life, instead doing whatever interests him for however long it maintains his attention. His free-spiritedness often makes him flighty, and most of the clan's long-standing members know never to take a promise from Sandpiper seriously. He is easily distractible and cannot be trusted to do anything he isn't paid for.
