ASHA of the RUNESIGHT

HISTORY
Asha was unique from the moment she took her first breath. It was as if the Arcanist himself laid blessing on the seemingly ordinary egg. Her eyes, her otherworldly wings and aura. Magical energies flowed from her soft scales in a radiating heat.

The dragoness begun having visions from a very early age. It started when she asked her father if he would leave too. When questioned by Willius what she meant, Asha told him that Mercy would leave the clan after a heated argument between him and her. A couple days later, an explosive fight between the two parents culminated with Mercy storming out and joining the lightning clan. Asha had foreseen the falling out of her parents. Only a brief period later, she predicted the exact number of eggs a pair would have that very day, and a week later foresaw all of the eggs hatching into girls. Either Asha was very good at guessing, or she was able to see events before they happened. Augur the Scryer of History had the same condition, and was able to gaze into the past. How otherworldly indeed that the daughter of a powerful mage had the future counterpart of the Scryer.

The moment Asha became old enough to glide, Willius became her mentor in harnessing her future-sight. Along with Augur the young prodigy and soon to be representative of Runesight, Willius made sure to document every event foretold by his hatchling and the symptoms that emerged with her visions. Well into adulthood, Willius still notes each of Asha's visions and studies her abilities.

As a young adult, Asha is one of the co-leaders of the Runesight clan. She is proactive, empathetic, and caring, but also idealistic and naive. Despite having these powers all her life, Asha continues to struggle deciphering and honing into her foresight. She knows she isn't well respected by the leaders of the other clans, as she is still young and prone to mistakes, but she always tries to better herself and put her clan before her own sake. She hides her struggles and sports a facade of an optimistic leader with everything under control. In truth, she feels like she can't make mistakes, as her entire clan depends on her to predict both disasters and fortunes that may threaten her home.

The kingdom forged by a common goal of cooperation and peace between dragonkind has always been Asha's one and only answer for a home. She views the walls built by claws to be the safest place in all of Sornieth, and idealistically believes that it would be the one city to remain and prosper in the aftermath of the ongoing war. She has such faith in her home that she has no fear in the Shade's power as long as those shining walls stay rigid and the clans within unite against the common enemy. If only she would realize that the clans' alliance is only held together by a loose respect for the founders, and more often than not, the most dangerous adversary is the one held closest to the heart.

AUGUR

As her co-leader, Asha consults the older dragon in every decision made for the clan, even when it may seem inconsequential and meaningless. Even the smallest adjustments such as floral arrangements were brought to his attention. Augur frequently finds himself annoyed by the young leader's constant consultations, but ultimately understands that she is not intentional with her behaviors, merely a byproduct of her wanting to lead with him rather than simply lead in his presence. Asha greatly admires Augur and takes any opportunity she can to praise his achievements. Their friendship is quite unorthodox, as more often than not pearlcatchers and imperials resent one another. And yet, a conflict is unheard of between the two. They compliment one another in not just abilities, but also personalities. Perhaps that is why they were both meant to lead rather than one lingering in the other's shadow.[/columns]

FAMILIAR

Arcana appeared to the clan on the night of Asha's hatching. She spoke softly, saying that she was sent here on account of the Arcanist's request. He didn't specify what in particular, but when that pearlcatcher hatchling opened her eyes, the Libra took her birth as a sign. From that moment forward, she was the familiar of Asha; a friend, a sister, a conscience, and most notably, a guide.

TRAVEL

Unlike Augur, who has traversed much of the world on the path to enlightenment, Asha has not once set claw outside of the city. She is fairly content within the safety of the walls, and Spirit's storytelling often depicts a violent battlefield with corpses strewn about. Needless to say, she is somewhat fearful of the unknown, and the world beyond her birthplace is more unknown to her than anything else. Despite her anxieties, she does want to try traveling at least once. Maybe the next time Augur takes a visit to the Astrolodome, she will tag along...
