Son of Sages
Yaalon grew up in a Nature clan. Life was good under the rule of Esilli in the kingdom of Etera. Being one of the many descendants of Monsoon and Lightningold, Yaalon struggled to find his place among the clan. With his father being the clan pharmacist and his mother the engineer, expectations for him and his siblings were quite high. As he struggled to find his calling, he decided to go on a self-discovery journey. As he travelled around the world of Sornieth, he encountered many dragons from all walks of life. He would stop to rest and visit with clans he passed by, but none seemed to really be in need of anything he had to offer. One day, he came across a skydancer, who was wounded and had been calling for help. He came to her aid and learned that she was a messenger for a clan not far away. Taking her injury seriously, Yaalon did his best with his meager supplies to restore the skydancer to walking condition. Yaalon refused to leave her side and insisted to escort her to her home clan. As they walked, Yaalon learned that she hailed from The Sterling Gale Clan. He didn't know much about them, but he assumed that was a good thing. No news is good news, perhaps? He thought. He also learned the name of his new companion, Laramis. She told him about her family and her job. By the time they arrived in the clan's territory, they encountered more and more of the clan members. Some were completing their jobs for the day, while others were passing by. Everyone seemed generally concerned for Laramis' injury and soon there was a decent sized crowd following them into the community center. There, Yaalon was introduced to the clan King, Kazul, and her princess, MD. According to Kazul, MD was a human princess who has been acting as the resident advisor on all decisions the clan made. Yaalon noted that from all of the positions held and carried out, there were a few jobs still vacant. The princess took a look at Laramis' injury and learned of Yaalon's ability to mend injuries. Almost immediately, MD begged Yaalon to take on the official post of clan Physician/Healer; without asking if he had an allegiance to another clan. Yaalon was taken aback by this sudden request and decided to think on it. Over the following week, Yaalon met Laramis' sister, Simaral, and grew an attraction to her. Her knowledge as the clan librarian drew his focus and interest in sticking around. Not to mention, many dragons sought his help when they acquired an injury or when they had assumed he had accepted the position already. Seeing how eagerly and accepting the clan was to having an official physician, Yaalon couldn't possibly say no the second time Princess MD came around to inquire of him. He was here to stay and he found his calling, following in his father's footsteps. |
