B I O G R A P H Y

Alone: having no one else present; on one's own.

______ Grayling blinked, rubbing her eyes. She was exhausted from the night before. She rested her head on her talons, blearily watching the dragons at the bar work. She heard the door creaking, and pricked her ears. Grayling looked to see a younger Guardian, and her icy blue eyes caught with hers. She looked away, hoping the strong blue dragon would not come to talk to her, but that's exactly what she did.
Grayling pretend to not notice the bigger dragon beside her, but that was inevitable when she said, "I know you see and hear me just fine."
Grayling awkwardly turned around. She put on a fake smile for the dragon.
"Running from Exaltation, I see." the dragon said. Grayling looked away. I shouldn't tell her anything. She could be one of them. Why else should she talk to me? she questioned.
"My name is Storm." she said. "I am part of the Ice Flight."
"Mine's Grayling." Grayling sighed once more. "I was part of the Plague Flight." Grayling gasped, noticing her mistake. Why did you have to say, "was"? You could have just said you were! She mentally smacked herself.
"So you are running from them." she snorted. Grayling let out a low growl. "Touchy topic, I see."
"Well, what do you suggest I do, dragon who knows everything?" Grayling snapped.
"Come to my lair." she suggested. Grayling's ears pricked.
"You're inviting me, a grey Veilspun, who you don't know, straight into your lair?" Grayling was astounded by this, and she twitched her tail.
Storm nodded. "Look, it may seem odd to you, but trust me. You'll find someone to talk to, at least."
Grayling sighed, knowing that was the only option. She didn't know this dragon, and she would not know any other dragon there.
But she had to take a chance.

______ Grayling smiled. She was finally, finally happy.
She had accepted the invite from Storm and joined the alir, and, it was the best decision she had ever made in her life.
Grayling was now friends with all of the dragons in the den, the most being Solar and Cloud. Solar was a very uptight dragon who had a simlar backstory to Graylings, making the two instant friends.
Finally, Grayling could feel peaceful.
