History
Gilthoniel was born in the unforgiving Southern Icefield. Even as a hatchling he was quiet and reserved. Preferring to play by himself than with others. He didn’t like the rough games other hatchlings would play, so he developed a passion for reading, and couldn’t understand hatchlings that didn’t like books. Eventually he grew into a hardened individual who knew how to survive the cold by himself.

Eventually he made a friend, a rowdy Coatl named Penumbra. He didn’t want to be friends with him, but the Coatl stole his lunch until he had no choice but to interact. In the end they were hanging out all the time, with Penumbra talking and Gil reading. He liked this, their life as friends in their home. That was until Penumbra decided to leave.

One night he had come to Gil’s room and woke him up. Telling him he wanted to go see the world, Gil tried talking him out of it. They had a good life here, but he wouldn’t hear it. So that night the two of them set out on their adventure. After all, Gilthoniel wasn’t going to let Pen go get hurt out there.

It seemed like forever to Gil, but they reached the Starwood Strand and the town of Avere Divina. It was here that he met another Veil that had him wrapped around her claw, Pallonia. She was lively and free spirited in a way that he didn’t find obnoxious. He wanted to stay with her forever, but it had only been two weeks and then he had to move on.

Pallonia ended up coming with him and the two of them settled in the Town of Aramore. Penumbra stayed for a while before going off and finding his own love, Puka. The two of them returned and now they sometimes go on double dates.

Personality // Gilthoniel is not particularly pleasant. He tends to be difficult on purpose. He is extremely sarcastic, antisocial, and obstinate. He has a mind for ciphers. He is utterly devoted to difficult but important work. Outside of his job he can be a bit more relaxed, especially when Pallonia is playing her music, he loves her music. Gil is really slow to trust, but hen he does he can be quite helpful.
