They say that Pearlcatchers, as a species, are remarkably vain and self-absorbed. Alcyone seems to have missed the memo.


Okay, well, she’s certainly absorbed. She sits around all day with her head in the clouds (preferably literally) and polishing her pearl, and the Nest has long since learned that the best way to make sure she eats is to put it directly in front of her, otherwise she’ll forget that it’s there. She has more important things to do, such as… Uh. ‘Meditate on matters of clan importance,’ apparently. It’d be nice if she’d stop missing the Council meetings, though...
