Biography
Polonea, the Tender
Among the first fully successful batches of Gaelvaudan's experiments, Polonea quickly took a motherly role over those who hatched alongside her. She understood the logic behind leaving hatchlings to their own devices in order for them to learn survival, of course. She also questioned it, however, deeming an union between the discarded to be a better means to survive. As such, she secretly went against Gaelvaudan, helping out struggling hatchlings and teaching them way to become more resilient.
Her mate, Noxophyl, is thankfully faithful in not revealing that secret, despite his loyalty to them.
Polonea's mutation comes in the form of a liquid her body produces, like sweat but more viscous, that coats her feathers, making them molt often to be renewed with fresh, more durable feathers. She's bothered by the mutation and often curses it, deeming it more a curse than a blessing, but does not share her grief with anyone.
After all, who is she to question the Brewer's design.
