Aisthel, the Patient

A young Guardian who has found the end of his Search in the tiny Mirror Ilya.

Aisthel, though young for his age, is incredibly patient. Shown even more so with how he acts around Ilya and the other young dragons. He ends up being the perfect choice to watch over new hatchlings. Aisthel speaks a lot, as well, easily making up for the lack of words from Ilya. It's hard to stay mad or even become mad as this Guardian easily charms with his gentle nature and words.

However Aisthel, young as he is and finding his charge so early on, tends to put too much focus on Ilya.

It is well known that shortly after Ilya came, Aisthel followed, and he sticks as close to the Mirror as he possibly can. While Olivia and Caliope are a bit worried that his dedication to Ilya may interfere with some duties in the group Aisthel has not let them down yet.

Aisthel is also fine with Ilya nestling on him to sleep, and knows when the Mirror is ready to dart and hide. Usually when that happens he tucks Ilya close to his side and lowers his wings over him. Aisthel also has a trick in getting rambunctious hatchlings to sleep by lying his head on their bellies and making humming noises.

Home

Aisthel, like Mareth, is from the Southern Icefields. Unlike Mareth, he did not stay long. Aisthel felt that who he was looking for was nowhere in the Icefields and when his wings were strong enough left as soon as he could. That said, Aisthel can't stand the cold despite his origins and is always trying to find ways to keep himself warm.

That may be one of the reasons he's perfectly fine with Ilya sleeping on him.
