For the majority of her young life, Sol had never lived in the same place for more than 6 months. After all, her parents were akin to nomads: a pair of dedicated researchers of the cosmos who refused to settle, chasing every patch of night sky they could find with their telescopes. Her parents were lovely, but it was rare to meet dragons of her age, and Sol often found herself finding ways to entertain herself. While her parents could be scatterbrained, they were both highly intelligent individuals in the field they were researching, and it came as no surprise that Sol was a prodigy of her own. Within her first few hatch years, she was pursueing the tomes and scrolls that they brought about with them on their travels (before they would leave them behind to move on to the next grand adventure). She absorbed them voraciously, and soon started studying the stars on her own. Sol's research lacked the expertise of her parents', but her insightfulness lead her to discover patterns in the stars. She needed to find out more. Asking her parents for permission was easy enough: her parents believed that young dragons should be given the freedom to explore what they wanted to, and easily granted her wish to travel to the various libraries of the world, in order to pursue specific tomes in regards to these patterns. Additionally, Sol's skill in ice magic was sufficient to protect her in her solitary and tough journey. On Starfall Isle, Sol's plans to visit the Grand Kalendian Library was disrupted: the empire no longer existed, and the Clan that existed currently was akin to a sapling where a tree used to stand. Curious, Sol paid the Clan a visit. There, she learnt of Vic's plans to seek revenge and restore her Clan. Additionally, Vic offered Sol a position as the Bearer of Light: the Oracle of the Covenant, a dragon who would intepret messages from the cosmos to reveal the future. Sol was interested: for one, scrolls that had survived the attack were in need of restoration, of which some possessed the knowledge she sought. Additionally, Vic's trust in her capabilities despite her age made her want to try! With that, Sol became the second member to join the Covenant, and the youngest ever member of a Covenant in the history of Kalendia. As a Librarian, Sol is kept busy with scroll and tome restoration. Additionally, as the Head Researcher, she sets aside time to learn the messages of the skies. She may not have a mentor like Vic used to, but she had her own pool of knowledge and many tomes to guide her journey to becoming a successful Light Bearer. Additionally, she finally had other children to play with, and she enjoyed carefree moments of play that she could not participate in as a nomadic dragon. In particular, she has a close relationship with Vic, and the two are often seen basking in the Sunlight, reading tomes of various topics and enjoying small snacks. MATE: COMET | . |
