She started at the paper in front of her, refusing to knowledge Astroths leaving. She crushed the pen in her hand, reading line after line. Rereading the pages when she got to the end. It made sense, but also didn't. She is the one who wrote it, so why doesn't she recognize the handwriting?
Logically, shes the one who wrote in the text. Its her duty to write in it and no one else, to keep up the history of the clan. Compile hatch dates, food stores, trading, conflicts in the clan. Who enters, who leaves.

Welcomed two new hatchlings into the clan. Three eggs, one stillborn. One has a deformed wing, unnamed. Only one of the three hatchlings will stay. Tundras.
Two-hundred pound whale caught. Thirty-five pounds of winter fruit, veg, and grasses. One-hundred five pounds of meat. Twenty pounds of insects and invertebrates. Stable stores of food and water. Stable building materials. Thriving economy.
Expedition “Green Tide” returned safely. Read GT 1-5-XX for result.
Dragon “Threadbare” returned to clan.
