Vanessa

Vanessa is of the belief that she is, yet another, reincarnation of "Vanessas", originally created by Goddesses of long ago. A better form of female who is of better and more sound mind, body and soul. Not your typical frivolous, giggly, or co-dependent girly girl. She is very strongly independent, quite capable of hunting and gathering and doing all the things, stereotypically, expected of your average male.

And so, one day, Vanessa was out about doing some hunting & gathering in the neighboring Starwood Strand when she came upon another Bogsneak. As she cautiously approached, the Bog whipped around and shouted "GOTCHA!!"
Vanessa replied with a swift and firm headbutt. She started to continue her advance, taking the offensive approach to defense when she heard the other bog shout, "Hey hey hey, whoa, wait a second, there's been a mistake"
Vanessa halted long enough to let him continue, still keeping her stance.
The Bog continued "You see, my feisty familiar likes to play hide & seek while we're on outings. It can get a little warm by the bay and here in the woods, tend to be a bit cooler. I heard you approach and thought you were them. I am really sorry that I scared you"
"Oh" Vanessa replied "um, sorry for the, ahem, headbutt"
"It's ok, quite the defense you've got though"
Despite not being one of those 'giggly' types, Vanessa found herself giggling and.... was she blushing too???
"Well, can I help you find your familiar?" She asked "It's the least I can do after nearly knocking you out!"
"Well I wouldn't go quite so far as to say that!" He said, with a wink & a sly smile "but, yes, I would quite enjoy the company"
"My name is Vanessa, by the way. What's yours?"
"Oh, yeah, right, my name is... well, perhaps you'll find out."
After spending a few hours "looking" for the familiar, they actually found them. In fact they jumped out and snarled at Vanessa.
"Whoa! Down boy! She's a friend" He said. They backed down with a huffy sigh. "Sorry about that, it takes them a bit to warm up to strangers.
"That's alright, I wouldn't expect anything less" Vanessa replied
It was at about this time that both she and the other Bogsneak realized just how late it had gotten. They decided on a time to meet up again... And again... And again. He had decided it was time. "Vanessa, I don't want to 'meet up' anymore"
Misunderstanding his meaning, she squeaked out a little "why?"
"Because I want you to come live with me, in the Starwood Strand. Will you? Please?"
Her heart nearly exploded with joy. In case the huge smile on her face wasn't a clear enough answer she enthusiastically nodded her head yes. She couldn't even speak, lest she cry, and she wasn't one of those kinds of "girly girls", prone to tears. That night, she went home to gather a few items, her familiar (Heartred Croaker), and a present she had gotten for him (yellow alien accent), in preparation for the next day's move and then went to bed. She finally admitted, to the stars in the sky, that she was in love with him as she drifted off to sleep. She had beautiful dreams about the future. She dreamt of their life together, their children, and all the amazing things they would experience... Together. She woke up the next morning, bid her clan mates adieu, and set off to meet her mate, in the place they had been meeting up at. On her approach, he turned around and, just like always, butterflies seemed to fill her tummy. And she knew, this was how it was supposed to be.
"Ready?" He asked
"Absolutely" she replied
