Barbatus runs the tavern in Sōlis, keeping it ever stocked with food and drink aplenty. His lack of hands is of no bother to him; his dexterous tail and a little assistance from time to time using his teeth makes upkeep of the tavern easy. He welcomes anyone who wishes to come by (though keeps and eye on any fledglings- they are only allowed juice for now) and will chat with anyone, even if they don't reply.

The tavern is almost always open in the evenings, save for the times Barbatus has left to look for more resources not found in the area. Mostly the hours are sporadic, opening when he's there, and closing when he needs to sleep. He mostly tries to source food from his clanmate's businesses, but there's plenty of occasions where he craves something more exotic to be in stock.

Always lively and excitable, Barbatus tries to make every night at the tavern a party. Some patrons don't appreciate this, as they'd just like a little bit of peace with their drink, but others are receptive, if not humoring him. As the tavern is sequestered away from any homes, they can be as loud as they please, singing songs and yelling over each other happily... Though, most nights are of normal volume; not everyone has as much energy as Barbatus.

Outside of the tavern, Barbatus is just as vivacious. He'll chat with almost anyone who crosses his path, save for those who've established that they aren't very social. If there happens to be some sort of celebration, he'll excitedly run about town to spread the news, inviting anyone and everyone to come by the tavern later. It's well known throughout the clan- if you want to keep good news a secret, its best you don't mention it to Barbatus.

Because of his rowdy nature and high volumes, some clanmates aren't too fond of him personally. It just rolls off his back, though, since he has plenty of friends and allies. Despite his behavior, he's aware of how others perceive him, and doesn't let it get him down. Barbatus can adjust his tone to be respectful to patrons of the tavern so they don't feel alienated, letting them be at peace. If one wishes for a quiet evening, they come in early before the revelers arrive to drink.
