Evening

Evening was an assassin beyond peer, once. No folly, no remorse, perfect accuracy and perfect record. She never used to question who her targets were, for some reason they had to die, and she'd get paid. That's how it was.
Until, one day, she was given the task by a frequent client that not-so-subtly admired her to kill someone...someone very dear to her...someone who's identity was kept expressly hidden. It wasn't until the mission was over that she realized that she was commissioned to kill her mate so her client could have her to himself.
After that mission, she disappeared from the face of Sornieth, hiding away in a cavern where none could ever find her again, other than the other denizens who chose to seclude themselves from society for whatever reason.
