Aphid

Aphid was born in the verdant jungle known as The Viridian Labyrinth. His swarm had made their nest in high up in the branches of The Behemoth, snuggly tucked away amongst vines and leaves. They lived peacefully, hidden from the rest of dragon society, ss their creator had wished for their kind to do all those eons ago.

However, one day the swarm got an unexpected visitor. Another veilspun that had traveled all the way from the Forum of the Obscured Crescent.
"I am on a journey to spread the word of our Mother. She no longer wishes for us to live in the shadows of the world, but go forth and make our presence known to the rest of dragon kind."
Her words had shocked the swarm. Why did their creator suddenly wish for this? Why now? What had happened in the recent years that made her change her mind?

There could have been many reasons, perhaps the sudden reapperance of gaolers. Or the rebirth of the flamecallers lost children, the banescales. Did Shadowbinder wish for her children to also live openly and freely? Perhaps she simply didn't care about how they lived anymore, seeing as so many had spred far and wide across the world.

One thing was certain though, Aphid wanted to take this chanse and travel the world.

His journey paused as he got caught in a blizzard and saved by Sokka. Aphid was brought to the greenhouse to warm up and met Swiftwing along with the other veilspun. The warmth and lush vegitation of the greenhouse reminded Aphid of his birthplace and he felt a sense of belonging. They allowed him to stay for as long as he wishes. Perhaps he'll leave one day, perhaps he'll stay. He didn't know, but one thing he did know was that he was happy.
