A wealthy, unscrupulous merchant of high renown; in a moment of heartfelt clarity he managed to transfer a magical curse off of another and onto himself, relieving their suffering. Even after this moment of selflessness, he is still an entirely unpleasant presence, though he is now more likely to cut deals or give things away if the whim strikes him. He wears his accepted curse as a badge, and tries to hide how much it wears him down.
