Berandus was once a gentle, unyielding guardian dragon, who found Tasmin as the goal of his search. He set himself up devoted to protecting the silly little thing from the dangers of the world she seemed so oblivious too.

Over time, Tasmin grew bored with him, using his massive guardian bulk as little more than a living shield. His influence as Clan Father waned, replaced almost wholly by Deleterious and Tasmins' elemental coterie in the inner politics of the Ooze Spire. He felt himself slowly being forgotten, unneeded and unasked for.

And then he showed up one day, in his usual spot on the Ooze Spire, but tiny, fancier, and the target of way more of Tasmin's attention than ever before. Despite going from 20 meters to less than 1, he somehow still can tank a hit like nobody's business.

"There's no need to rush. We all die in turn eventually. Take your time getting there."
